Expanding upon her renowned 10-chapter Guidebook and video workshop, "Piecing a Scrap Quilt," this intimate experience offers small group social learning for 10 participants, live interactions, and individualized one-on-one support.

Guest Speakers: We're thrilled to welcome a lineup of inspiring guest speakers who will share their unique perspectives and expertise throughout the year, adding fresh ideas and insights to our quilting community.
Bi-Monthly Meetings: Our regular bi-monthly meetings will continue to provide a supportive space for learning, sharing, and connecting with fellow quilters.
Private WhatsApp Group: We've created a private WhatsApp group for participants to share photos, keep in touch between Zoom meetings, and exchange inspiration at a more natural pace.
Personalized Support: I'm here to offer monthly one-on-one consultations, addressing your specific needs and helping you achieve your quilting goals with confidence and enthusiasm.
Naturally Dyed Fabric Packets: We're now offering packets of naturally dyed fabrics, providing a range of beautiful, eco-friendly materials for your quilting projects.
New Format: The program will now feature two parts: Part 1 will be a quilt along where everyone creates the same pattern together, fostering a sense of camaraderie and shared learning. In Part 2, participants will have the freedom to choose an individual quilting project, encouraging creativity and self-expression.

Being part of a quilting community enriches the overall experience by fostering a sense of purpose and camaraderie. Connecting with others offers opportunities to exchange ideas, boost creativity, and celebrate the art of quilt-making in a supportive environment. Through collaboration and mutual encouragement, members benefit from shared resources and collective wisdom, empowering one another to reach new heights in their craft. This supportive environment not only leads to the creation of beautiful quilts but also promotes personal growth, helping each person develop and thrive while deepening their passion for quilting.

To cater to each participant's individual needs, I offer monthly one-on-one sessions. During these dedicated meetings, we will discuss your progress, tackle any challenges, and provide valuable feedback. Consider me your "quilt coach," fully committed to supporting your growth and helping you realize your quilting aspirations.

To further enhance the experience, participants will also have access to a private WhatsApp group where they can share photos, stay connected between Zoom meetings, and exchange inspiration at a more natural pace. This platform encourages spontaneous creativity, allowing us to swap ideas during sewing sessions or even while enjoying a nature hike, ultimately fostering a continuous stream of creative ideas and camaraderie among the group.

In the spirit of fostering close connections and personalized guidance, this workshop will be limited to a small and supportive group of 10 participants. This means you'll receive personalized attention, tailored guidance, a nurturing space for everyone's quilting aspirations and the opportunity to forge meaningful connections with fellow quilting enthusiasts.

Together, we'll delve into the vibrant world of quilt-making, exploring every facet from fabric selection to design intricacies, stitching, and more. Guided by expert mentorship and your individual quilting visions, you'll have the freedom to express your creativity in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

In the first half of the year, the group will all work on the same project, a small 4 block quilt, this way participants will experience the full spectrum of quiltmaking before moving into choosing a new adventure of their own creation.

February- May: Video Guidebook Exploration

During this period, we will delve into the video Guidebook, using it as a foundation for engaging discussions and shared learning. Participants are encouraged to watch the videos on their own time before each Zoom meeting, allowing for thoughtful conversations around the quilt-making process. This self-paced video guidebook experience will help generate meaningful discussions, allowing participants to ask questions, share insights, and gain a deeper understanding of the various techniques and concepts presented.

During the Individual Quilt Creation portion of the schedule, students will apply their knowledge from the group quilt creation to design and assemble their own quilts, with guidance and feedback provided during the custom modules.

The Quilt Making Process Simplified in 10 Steps:

Introduction: Begin your quilting journey by exploring its rich history, significance, and the creative adventure that awaits you.
Supplies: Discover essential tools, fabrics, and materials required for quilting, and learn how to select the best resources for your project.
Prepare Fabric: Master techniques for fabric preparation, including cutting, sizing, and organizing materials for seamless quilt assembly.
Piece Blocks: Acquire precision piecing methods to create beautifully crafted quilt blocks using various techniques and patterns.
Build Top: Assemble quilt blocks into a visually captivating quilt top, while learning design principles and layout strategies.
Assemble Top: Delve deeper into the assembly process, ensuring precision and accuracy when joining quilt top components.
Hand Quilting: Immerse yourself in the art of hand quilting, perfecting stitching techniques and patterns to add a personal touch to your quilt.
Make Binding: Investigate binding creation, understanding different styles, and selecting the ideal one for your quilt.
Attach Binding: Master the final steps of attaching binding to your quilt, achieving a polished and professional finish.

Prerequisites: None. All skill levels are welcome.

Please note: Supply costs are not included in the course fee. A sketchbook and fabric bundle for the group project will be included in the course.
