I had the incredible opportunity to join French General's Château Getaway as a guest artist. Nestled in the picturesque French countryside near Toulouse, the 17th-century chateau became a creative sanctuary for myself and a group of passionate artists, designers, and crafters.
Teaching daily workshops in the chateau's grand sewing room that opened to the gardens was nothing short of magical. Participants immersed themselves in a variety of natural dyes, from osage, logwood, madder and natural indigo. It was truly inspiring to witness everyone connecting with their artistic spirit and learning from each other's journeys.
Beyond workshops, we explored local shops and savored traditional French cuisine. It was delightful to share these experiences with fellow artists, bonding over our shared passions and making lifelong connections.
The French General Château Getaway was an unforgettable journey of creativity, growth, and inspiration. I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this enchanting adventure, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a truly unique creative retreat.
